How it works
The calculator uses your device’s current date to count how many weeks remain until the end of the year. It first calculates the exact number of remaining days (today through December 31, inclusive), then divides by 7 and rounds to the nearest whole number.
On January 1 the calculator automatically switches to the new year. Leap years are handled without any configuration — a leap year has 366 days, so January 1 of a leap year starts with one extra day and therefore roughly one extra week compared to a regular year.
Weeks Remaining by Month in 2026
The table below shows how many weeks are left in 2026 as of the first day of each month. 2026 is not a leap year, so the year has 365 days total.
| Starting Date | Days Left | Weeks Left |
|---|---|---|
| January 1 | 365 | 52 |
| February 1 | 334 | 48 |
| March 1 | 306 | 44 |
| April 1 | 275 | 39 |
| May 1 | 245 | 35 |
| June 1 | 214 | 31 |
| July 1 | 184 | 26 |
| August 1 | 153 | 22 |
| September 1 | 122 | 17 |
| October 1 | 92 | 13 |
| November 1 | 61 | 9 |
| December 1 | 31 | 4 |
| December 31 | 1 | 0 |
How the breakdown is calculated
Below the main weeks figure, the calculator shows three additional units:
- Months — the remaining days divided by 30.44 (the average number of days per month), rounded to the nearest whole number.
- Days — the exact number of days from today through December 31, inclusive.
- Hours — the remaining days multiplied by 24. This assumes full 24-hour days.
